This spring, thousands of fans will arrive in Bloomington to attend the 68th Men's and 31st Women's Little 500 bicycle races. Not only does this iconic Hoosier race offer an incredible leadership opportunity for students racing in and volunteering for the race, but it also generates critical financial support for deserving IU students.

Some of those deserving students include the riders who practice year-round, attend skills clinics and participate in qualifications all to race in the Little 500. Leading up to race day, riders also take on the challenge of raising funds for scholarships. This sixth annual program—the Cycling for Scholarship campaign—is for the riders, by the riders.

Please make a gift today to support scholarships for riders, as well as the pageantry and competition enjoyed by alumni, family and friends alike.

To amp up the competition, awards will be given to the men’s and women’s team with the most donors prior to and after race day:

  • Most donors by Sunday, April 15: Candy-stripe race day jerseys
  • Most donors by Sunday, April 22: 2018 Little 500 bicycle

There are no bikes to mount or green flags to wave, but the competition starts now!
