More Info

Simply put, women are underrepresented in the technology sector. Women make up only 27 percent of the technology workforce and less than 20 percent of college students graduating with a technology-related degree.

However, statistics like these aren’t the end of the story.

There's a place that is eliminating barriers for women in technology—a place addressing a national call to increase women’s tech participation in a way no other university has. That place is the Center of Excellence for Women in Technology (CEWiT) at Indiana University.

Thanks to the visionary leadership of IU First Lady Laurie Burns McRobbie, Provost Lauren Robel, and a committed group of IU women faculty and administrators, CEWiT has grown in just five years to include 2,200 students, 650 faculty, 350 staff, and 1,000 alumnae affiliates.

So, when you support CEWiT, you’re part of a powerful network of people dedicated to ensuring women have a seat at the table in every technology venture.

Your generous gift today will fund research collaboration, education, mentoring, and community-building opportunities at IU that can set girls and women on tech pathways to successful and fulfilling careers in a range of fields.
